X 鍵叫「難」，有兩個用途。第一，代表無法用其他字根表示的「難字形」，例如「臼」HX、「身」HXH、「兒」HXHU、「舊」TOGX 中的部件都用 X。第二，在倉頡第五代字典中，X 加在碼前可輸入與其他字重碼的異體字，例如 A 是「日」，XA 則是「曰」。
X is 難 (difficult) and has two jobs. First, it stands for shapes that no other radical can describe, as in 臼 (HX), 身 (HXH), 兒 (HXHU) and 舊 (TOGX). Second, in the Cangjie 5 table an X prefix reaches variant forms that would otherwise share a code: A gives 日 while XA gives 曰.
